Today we continued talking about the life story of Oprah Winfrey, using the past tense (Past Simple) to talk about her childhood and her career.
The past is simple! No problems here, but remember the three different pronunciations of the -ed ending–like a T (watched), like a D (played), or like ID (started).

Making a Good Impression, and Doing a Good Job
We continued learning about idiomatic phrases with make and do, including such common colloquial phrases as “Make a good impression” and “doing a good job”.
